This location has the potential to be great. Unfortunately it is falling short. Dining here tonight with my wife and daughter and parents. After a very long wait in line, I felt rushed while ordering. We spent roughly $20 on our meal. Two bowls, chips and salsa, side of guac, beverages. After getting our food there was not a single clean table to sit down at...on top of that there's food all over the floor. To make matters worse there was not a clean highchair for my daughter to sit in. I went up to the front counter and let the cashier know. He brushed me off. He stated that they were busy and someone was wiping down tables. I circled the entire dining room there was still not a clean table. I went back up to the front counter and asked to speak with a manager. The cashier brush me off. I went and asked again and said I was serious about speaking with the manager. At this point I brought up the two dirty highchairs and asked for one of them to be wiped off. The "manager" comes out the door & I told her that this service and experience was terrible. I told her that there was not a single clean place to eat and that these highchairs were dirty. She blamed it on them being too busy. She did not offer me an apology until I asked for one. Poor leadership. Finally after the high chairs were wiped off and brought back out front, no one brought them to our table. I had to walk up to the counter and get it from them. Where is the service? Am I not paying you to be here? Throughout my meal I timed with my phone how long it would take for people to be served. I literally timed a guy who walked in, from the moment he walked in, to when he got his food...he literally waited in line well over 20 minutes. Totally unacceptable. I do not recommend this Chipotle.

I've never been to such a slow chipotle in my life. I've been going to this location on and off for years, and it's consistently been this way. I would come much more often if the employees moved with any sense of urgency or were trained in manners. Seems like kids who would rather not be there at least half the time.

On two separate occassions (within 2months), I have received undercooked white rice. Crunchy rice ... Yuck- It ruins the entire meal. I usually love chipotle anywhere I go, but this place can't quite cook the rice correctly, yet suprisely it is always crowded. It must not bother other people.

The burrito I ate was decent. Most of the empty tables were dirty and fountain soda machine not working. Had I'd been told they had no sodas I wouldn't have eaten there. Not a great experience.

Chipotle, at least this location is getting worse and worse. If you are looking for the world smallest, sloppiest burrito, after waiting 20+ minutes you're in luck. I use to find great value in Chipotle's concept. A simplistic menu, built around tasty, fresh ingredients of your choosing, served up fast, right in front of you all at a reasonable price for the amount of food you were getting. Not anymore. Dinner for 4 is no less than $30...considering this is fast food...that's a little much I think. Whether I get a burrito or bowl I only like 4 items, white rice, meat (usually chicken or steak), salsa, and sour cream (mainly to cool down the spicy heat of the meat). Today my burrito got a half a cups worth of rice, less than a half a spoons worth of chopped chicken, a slap of sour cream and some salsa. While today's visit did not result in a broken tortilla shell or globs of sour cream oozing everywhere like last time, it was still rather sloppily assembled. I think the assemblers forget that I intend to eat the mess they've thrown together. Not to mention, I use to turn a burrito in two meals, now, with the skimpy ingredients, it's half the size. For the salads, my family just likes lettuce, meat, and dressing. Again, they were very shy on the meat portion for nearly $8. When the assembler asks what you want and you say steak only, I'd think they be more generous. Instead it was the same half a spoon's worth of meat as the burrito. The chicken and cheese quesadilla use to cost around $4 for chicken, cheese, and tortilla. Now it's more than $6.50 and it doesn't come with salsa or sour cream, if you want that you are charged like its a burrito, which at that point isn't much more. It took years for me to sell the cilantro-lime flavored rice, spicy meat, and beans that aren't refried to my family as a meal option. Now it's not even worth the time you spend in the line that never moves. And, after watching an uncaring kid slap your food together, and another hit you with the total cost at the register, it's just not worth it. On more than one occasion I have complained about the portions, most of the time resulting in being charged for extra meat without notice. I have also left on many occasions because the line is too long and not moving. Sadly, I once loved this place, after tonight I probably won't be going back.

Eh trust me the two stars are for the food because chipotle is chipotle. The service at this location is abysmal and I'm being really kind. Everything from getting orders wrong because they just want to serve you whatever to the short spooning that chipotle is notorious for so they can charge you double meat. Sadly the most competent people are ringing you up here at the end. It can be an extremely frustrating place.

This place has gone downhill. Lines are slow. Workers seem unmotivated. I typically get the sofritas. Even though I'm not vegan Chipotle advertises that this is. Thus workers should not be spilling meat into it and picking them out. Sometimes they scoop it sometimes they pick it out. Eww...

This has to be the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. They have the unnecessary long wait in lines. The person working the beans I ask for black beans on my burrito and I was giving six beans 123456. I asked were are y'all out and he said NO... I will never go back here again and I will never tell anybody to go to this location...

Well, All My Maryland Friends...back in the BA for the Holidays visiting family... stopped for lunch on the way from BWI. Had the Carnitas Bowl w rice, black beans, meat, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and grated cheese, served at medium spicy heat. Portion was large - enough for 1 teenager or 2 senior citizens. Companion had the Chicken Bowl with mostly the same toppings and hers was spicy hot. As it was during the lunch hour, there was a short wait to order cafeteria style. Both meals were appropriately cooked, served quickly and we were able to be seated immediately with our trays and drinks. As we ate, the line to order moved along at a good pace but, as this was lunch time, quickly became extended to the outside entry. The meal was reasonably.good, but not unique or unusually tasty. The ordering and serving operated smoothly. The seating area appeared to be neat and clean. Parking was not a problem as we pulled up to a spot vacated seconds before...a lucky break. The rest of the lot was filled and a few vehicles had to wait for openings. All in all, it was a decent meal, just not exceptional or with a "Wow" factor. I noticed many customers first scanning the menu behind the servers and time was lost. I think the line could have moved faster if customers had menus handed to them to peruse while waiting so there would not be a delay when it was time to order. Both Food Prep and the Serving Line need to improve coordination for replenishing items.

I'm not quite sure where this Chipotle goes wrong but it does. I got off work early and needed to grab something for dinner on the way home. All of the extra time I could of had ended up being eaten by this location. When I walked in the line was not out of control so I decided to wait it out. I still ended up waiting almost 25 minutes to get served. There were three people working the line but still it was slow. He is part of the hangup: They ran out of stuff (i.e. chips) on the bar and instead of bringing more to the bar to help with efficiency the girl working the register kept running back into the kitchen to get chips! Bring the chips to you once and you don't have to do that! Also, make the patrons that keep coming back to register to order more sour cream/guac that they missed in their original order wait in the line again rather than stopping the flow to address their needs. Almost all of their fountain drinks were gone too and the ice machine was empty...during the dinner rush...which is food service blasphemy. At the end of the day after reading other reviews of similarly subpar service, it all comes down to a lack of strong leadership on the management level. These are teenagers working the bar who probably don't have much food service experience. You need a strong manager to teach them how to prioritize customer service and flow. This is what this location lacks. Avoid if possible.

Food is great but I stopped going to this location because of the lines. I would suggest the owner look at how Subway moves a crowd through it's lines at busy times. You're making food out of three ingredients with fixings, I should not have to wait 20 minutes. And an online order shouldn't take 45 minutes. Other Chipotles have lines but they move fast. Step it up.

Even I have to say this location is not up to par any more. I order online so I don't have to spend ten minutes waiting for my food. I got here today and they hadn't even started my online order. The place want even that busy, we could have waited in line faster. I haven't noticed the inconsistency problems others have been having, the food is still good, but I'm annoyed at the service lately.

Not the best--rather generic food. I ordered a chicken bowl; the chicken tasted a bit burned, perhaps it was supposed to be blackened but I didn't care for it. The portions of salsa, beans, etc. could have been a bit more generous. Just ok. Also, it was very loud in there. I chose to take my food carryout.

It's Chipotle! HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE IT?! Ok, I'll admit the service here is a tad slow. And it's always packed at this location. But still, I love Chipotle. The staff could probably smile a little more, lol. But again, IT'S CHIPOTLE! What's not to love? :)

They were moving ultra slow today. Was not even that many people in line today. Also they ARE VERY CHEAP ON THE AMOUNT OF MEAT you get here. They used to give you a decent amount but now it's almost a total ripoff. This is the only Chipotle that rips people off on the meat size. And it's sad because it's in bel air. The stores here are not supposed to rip off the good people of bel air. Also THERE WERE FLIES FLYING ALL OVER THE MENU BOARD. Anyway i registered a complaint with the harford county health dept over the flies issue. Because they're letting the place go.

This place has improved significantly and the food is handled with care. Nobody appears to hate working there anymore and they can certainly handle a rush. The ingredients have improved with less ligaments in the steak but they still need to spread the ingredients evenly throughout the food. Lumps of salsa isolated from lumps of sour cream is not what the melting pot that a burrito is supposed to be. In any case, I would definitely come back.

  • Tom M.

Once again a horrible experience at this particular Chipotle. Line wrapped around the dining room, as too few people were actually working. Dinner time on a Friday night and only half the shift on the job....25 minutes and only moved 15 feet in the line.

  • Tom L.

One star because the place is filthy dirty! See my example picture of the speaker hanging from the ceiling. This has been that way for months! CLEAN your darn fixtures - all of them, air ducts too - it ain't gonna clean itself. Your a busy restaurant & you have lots of people lined up at all hours of the day, if you want to keep it that way - clean your stuff!

slowwwwwwwwwww I blame my chipotle addiction for even dealing with the absurdly slow atmosphere here.

The only reason I eat here is because my wife likes it. Ordering online usually means that I end up with something in the order messed up. Usually a long line with a wait of at least 15 minutes. However, for this style of food, there is not a better place within reasonable driving distance, since Qdoba completely sucks. I don't personally recommend it, but my wife does.

  • John L.

I think my love for the food has blinded me to the terrible service. Get used to long lines and no sense of urgency paired with borderline incompetence from some of the team members. Don't bother ordering online from this location either...you are better off waiting in line honestly. There are much better run locations than this one, but it's convenient for me and will keep coming back.

  • Jason H.

Slowest service I've ever seen. I ordered food online for pickup at 5:00, and had to wait another 30min for it. The kicker was it wasn't even crowded. It would have been better to just go in and order. This chipotle staff needs to get it together. You guys are slacking big time.

I used to go at least once or twice a week. I love the burrito bowl and portions are usually good, but service has been lousy the last few times. My latest visit will probably be my last. My wife and I were at the doors when they opened last Tuesday. While my wife got in line, I went to the restroom. The place was nasty; sink was dirty, urine on the floor. On my way back to the line, I noticed the dining area hadn't been cleaned since the previous night. It was obvious the tables had not been wiped down or the floor swept and mopped. I returned to the line. They were still working with the first customer. I started thinking that if the bathroom and dining area hadn't been cleaned, I doubted they bothered to clean the kitchen or utensils either. That's when we left. Probably won't be back to this location. That's a shame because I really love the food.

Service was really slow. I even ordered and paid ahead. I was ignored at the register for 10 minutes (I timed it!) because of how disorganized they were. Unbelievable! It's good food but I will find a new place to get my burrito bowl fix.

Got food poisoning from the steak burrito and they wouldn't even reimburse me for the $16 I spent there. Don't recommend.

Dirty tables. Nobody seemed to want to do their job. Poor service. Just a bunch of kids with no oversight. Probably not going back.

This place has really hit the bottom. The service is crazy slow! I am here on a Tuesday and have been waiting close to 45 minutes in line. The folks behind the counter seem very disorganized and just don't care. Qdoba is so much better. Next time I am making the drive. This place is dead to me!

This Chipotle has gone seriously downhill. I was very disappointed by the service we received. It was not yet the dinner rush and the employees were already grouchy and unpleasant. We had to wait while the gal prepped to go orders (don't they normally have a specific person for that?!) and our burritos were very subpar. Definitely will consider another option next time we're getting food on the run. With so many other options in the Festival, I won't feel guilty about skipping Chipotle.

The wait is long and they always seem to run out of rice by time it's for me to order my food

Spent 45 minutes waiting in line. Ordered the off the menu nachos, cashier never heard of off the menu. The manager was called over and she stated that it's too busy to makes Nacho's. I asked her how hard is it to make Nacho's? She refused to have her workers make Nacho's. I will not ever go back to any Chipotle. Qdoba has the best cheese anyway. I don't eat McDonalds so they also own Chipotle so another chain off my list. I wish harford county would get Baja Fresh back.

  • Derek A.

This Chipotle completely sucks, and I have been to many Chipotles to compare. They seem to always have 1-2 less staff members than they should. The staff they do have moves with no efficiency whatsoever. Other Chipotles, the employees are usually fast and efficient. The restaurant looks dirty. The last two times they were out of ingredients, such as sour cream and lettuce. The food still tastes good but the entire experience just sucks. Lines are excessively long due to complete inefficiency.

Horrible customer service- you can tell they are talking about some of their customers and easily get annoyed with special requests. I was just in today and the girl wrapping burritos and the boy cashing people out literally had no common sense. Messed up my order after i raised my voice to the point the guy next to me told her that is not what i asked, she then rolled her eyes and and the idiot next to her said to just pick it off... Gross.. It doesn't take long to remake a burrito that has a total of three things on it... These people are lazy and clearly hate their job. To top it all off my burrito was extremely cold and chicken was disgustingly burnt. Chip... What are you doing? Ive never had these issues until just recently. Get it together.

  • Tim G.

You know... I really love Chipotle, but I've seen a few things at this one that bugged me, and force me to give it a lower score: 1) It seems like the people on the line have attitudes. Maybe this is just a Maryland thing that I'm not used to, but everyone on the line seems like they have some place better to be - well if that's the case then quit and give me someone who isn't holier than thou, otherwise shut up and serve me my beans and rice with a smile. 2) If you order the burrito bowl, it always seems (maybe it's just me!) that they give you less in the bowl then in the burrito. Anyone else notice this? 3) It is LOUD! It's SO LOUD. They have that typical metal ceiling most Chipotle's have, but their music is always so loud that it makes it difficult to enjoy a conversation with someone. Overall it's OK. I still go because I like (no, love) the food, but I could do without the above three points.

Not the best type of mexican food out there but one of the better Chipotles around. They are pretty generous with portion sizes here and are friendly every time.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
